Carla, a 20-year-old from Venice, enters an estate agency in London: she is looking for an apartment to rent for Matteo, the student she is in love with. Moira, the owner of the agency, invites her to her own home. Carla keeps quiet about everything to Matteo tells her over the phone that he intends to give up the trip to London. Carla, very disappointed, in reaction also accepts the courtship of Mario, Moira’s ex-husband, at a very special party.
However, Matteo does not resist and leaves without saying anything. When by surprise he reaches Carla in London, he vents his anger but dragged by her and the people he has met he realizes that knowing her with someone else makes him mad with jealousy but makes him mad with desire for her. So Matteo asks Carla to swear that she will always lie to him.
